Port of Guangzhou and Port of Rotterdam strengthen cooperation

After signing the first two-year partnership agreement in 2019, the southern Chinese port of Guangzhou and the European port of Rotterdam renewed the sister port agreement.

The two ports established a sister port relationship in 2019 and have been committed to route development and talent exchange in the past two years.

In 2020, three container routes have been opened between the two ports.

Yuan Yue, deputy director of the Guangzhou Port Authority, said: “We look forward to cooperating with the Port of Rotterdam in green port development, information technology and personnel training to improve our port’s service capabilities and standards.”

Currently, Guangzhou Port operates 137 international container shipping services.
