Hong Kong DHL will strictly inspect the declaration and value of goods

OES learned that after receiving the relevant notice from DHL International Express, it will strictly investigate the cargo declaration issues and detain the shipments suspected of underreporting/falsely reporting. The shipments involved must provide a "transaction certificate" or "value certificate" within 3 days ", otherwise DH will return the item.

Remind again: The declared value of the goods must be the transaction price agreed by both the consignee and the consignor (the ex-factory cost or purchase cost cannot be used as the declared value). It is recommended to provide transaction records of both parties to assist in customs clearance with the goods, such as samples or gifts Shipment must also be declared based on the true market value of the goods. If the value is under-reported by the local customs, the goods involved may be detained indefinitely by the local customs, forcibly returned to the place of shipment, destroyed, or charged a high fine to the shipper.
