Swissair launches "Kuala Lumpur-Nanning" cargo service



        Raya Airways has opened its first flight to Nanning, China, becoming the first cargo airline in Malaysia to do so.


  Raya Airways will use its Boeing 767-200 freighter to serve Nanning four times a week, with an average load of 30 tons per week and a maximum capacity of 40 tons. It is expected to carry cross-border e-commerce and consumer goods, including perishable items.


        Mohamad Najib Ishak, managing director of the airline group, said: “Nanning is the gateway to ASEAN. More and more cross-border e-commerce products are shipped from China to the Southeast Asian market. This route expansion is timely and will support the growing Demand comes from consumers and merchants for freight services."


   Nanning is located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southwest China, near the border with Vietnam.


  Ishak added: “We look forward to launching more new routes in the coming months as we will increase the interconnection network of destinations to support businesses during this pandemic.”


   He stated that Raya Airways' goal is to expand its network to more destinations in the Asia-Pacific region later this year, including China and other countries.


  Raya Airways currently operates three Boeing 767-200F and one Boeing 737-400F aircraft to China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong, as well as Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Labuan in Malaysia.
