Malaysia Airlines transforms passengers into cargo and transports personal protective equipment items

According to Simple Flying, Malaysia is one of the world ’s largest producers of personal protective equipment (PPE),

Malaysia Airlines is preparing to open up a niche market for itself, operating flights to deliver these highly sought after products.

Malaysia Airlines' vision is not limited to medium-sized twin-engine aircraft, and has been approved to put cargo into the main cabin of its A380 passenger aircraft.

Last week, a Malaysia Airlines A330 passenger plane carrying personal protective equipment flew to Melbourne, Australia.

A box of gloves and masks are placed in the locker above the head or under the seat, and are fixed around the main cabin. In addition, the belly compartment of the aircraft was also filled.

Currently, Malaysia Airlines has more than 40 aircraft in storage, and about 20 to 30 aircraft are in use.

Malaysia Airlines wants to keep as many planes as possible, while keeping as many employees as possible.

Air cargo, especially personal protective equipment, is the starting point to achieve this goal.

Given that Malaysia is an important producer of rubber gloves and other personal protective equipment, the airline has a local advantage.
